This has not been a good week for me regarding film choices. Two Red Death Coffins in a week - Microwave Massacre, and now this piece of crap. I barely have enough enthusiasm to write today, but write I must. If I get some of the plot messed-up I apologize because aside from being pure torture this is one of those scrambled up, figure things out films.

There’s this crazy man that has webbed fingers named Jogoro. He somehow manages to marry the prettiest girl in town but still has self esteem issues and feels shunned by the community. He catches his wife cheating on him and that’s the final straw. His response is to go live on an island and perform inhumane experiments on people. He breeds people with animals and with deformed people to populate his island with malformed men. This makes him feel better. He gets a hold of his wife and lover and holds them captive in a sea cave. The lover dies and Jogoro forces his wife to eat live tiny crabs to survive. He won’t give her real food.

Jogoro has two sons. One of them dies early on. But he has grand plans for the other - Hitomi. He sends him to medical school to become a surgeon and when finished come back to the island with dad and aide in the experiments. Hitomi does not know any of this yet and is trying to figure out his background. He goes to the island and his father gives him the grand tour. The following lines are taken from the film, Jogoro speaking: "I have gathered normal babies and old people and then deformed them.". Did I mention he also gets deformed men to rape his wife and breed weird offsprings! Anyway Hitomi is introduced to this girl that’s a Siamese twin but the other half is male. You heard right, male and female Siamese twins. Hitomi operates on her to remove the other sibling and then gets the hots for her. He has sex with her and they live on the island for awhile and even plan on marrying.

Close to the end there is a scene in the cave where Jogoro takes Hitomi to meet his mother. Most of the movie is explained here. We find out that the Siamese twin girl that Hitomi is banging is his sister. Hitomi does not seem to care. There is some sort of confrontation with some characters and even more shit that sounds cool but isn’t is explained. Jogoro threatens to blow up the island somehow, I think he kills himself (one second he’s talking to us the next he’s hunched over bleeding??). Hitomi and his girl commit double suicide by blowing themselves up with fireworks. You see their body parts in the sky. The end.

This movie also has scenes filmed in red and green tints. The malformed abominations on the island put on a creepy circus act that is also boring and odd beyond belief. Most of the weird people on the island don’t look like real freaks. The makeup is good on some and silly on others. Pretty much, that damn island is hell for me. Jogoro moves and talks in weird swaggering ways. This is the worst film I have seen for our website my friends. Id rather watch Begotten again than sit through this a second time. Except for when I plan to watch it with Jose and see him suffer, as I did. I’m a bad movie masochist at times and that causes me internal injuries.
