Alien life has invaded Earth a thousand times before, and it will continue to do so in thousands upon thousands of movies to come. However, I don't think they will ever ever ever invade quite like they do in this movie.

A group of bio-mechanical alien parasites land on Earth and start spreading all over Japan. Once they have latched on to an unsuspecting human, they fuse with it and basically turn us into half-man half-cyborg fighting machines. For what reason? So that the parasites can use us like robot suits to fight it out amongst themselves. Two young lovers are caught in the middle of this intergalactic Mortal Kombat when the girl, Sachiko, is raped by the parasite her new boyfriend Yoji found in the dumpster. She is painfully turned into a meatball machine, as the aliens refer to us, and goes on a rampage hunting down other bio-machine mutations.

Yoji must find a way to save her life, but ends up getting infected himself. However, his love for her is strong enough to fight off the full transformation and retaining his human mind he searches her out. The only problem is that when he finds her Sachiko considers him a threat and a massive, blood and puss-drenched battle begins as rockets grow out of places they shouldn't and lasers blast from transforming orifices. Imagine a Transformers movie made collectively by David Lynch, Takashi Miike, and David Cronenberg and you'll have an idea of how wild this movie really is.

If you're looking for the perfect party movie, then this one's it. I can't think of another film that packs in as much gore, violence, craziness, and uniqueness as this one does. I can guarantee you that you will be saying "I have never seen anything like that before" at least a thousand times before the movie is over. I was also impressed by how much I cared for the characters while all this unbelievably weird and incredibly imaginative stuff was going on. This is not a movie for everyone, but if you want to see stuff that'll blow your mind (and lets face it, that's tough for movie fans like us), then check this one out, you won't believe your eyes...and that's a promise.
